We can’t deny it anymore…summer is quickly coming to an end. As sad as we are about the end of the season, we are excited to enjoy our three-day weekend when Labor Day comes at the beginning of September. If you live near Allentown, PA, we’ve found some really good ways for you to spend your three days off. Rodale Institute Organic Farmer’s Market | September 3, Allentown
If you’re anything like us, you love having fresh and locally-grown produce in your house. The Organic Farmer’s Market at the Y is the perfect place to get your fix. The market is open to the public and will run from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Lehigh Valley IronPigs vs Rochester Red Wings | September 3-5, Allentown
What better way to celebrate Labor Day than by watching some good, old-fashioned baseball? The Lehigh Valley IronPigs play a home series against the Rochester Red Wings from September 3-5. The first pitch will be at 6:35 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, with a 1:35 p.m. start scheduled for Monday’s game. For tickets or more information, click here.
Murder Mystery on W.K.&S. Train Ride | September 2-3, Kempton
If you’re looking for a unique way to spend your Labor Day Weekend and don’t mind a 30-ish minute drive, the Murder Mystery on W.K.&S. Train Ride is definitely something to check out. The family friendly event begins at 6:30 p.m. and lasts about 90 minutes. Check out Kepton Train’s website for more information, and don’t forget to reserve your seat as spots go quickly.
The Great Allentown Fair | August 30-September 5, Allentown
Celebrating its 164th birthday, the Great Allentown Fair is jam-packed with fun activities this year. Performers include big names like Jake Owen, KISS, Chris Stapleton, Meghan Trainor with Hailee Steinfeld, Jeff Dunham and the Kidz Bop Kids.
