Fall is here and you know what that means! Time to bust out those scary decorations and get your candy ready because Halloween is upon us! If you aren’t sure where to celebrate this Halloween, there are plenty of things to do in the Orwigsburg, PA area.
Orwigsburg Lion’s 2016 Halloween Parade
The Orwigsburg Lions will hold their annual Halloween Parade on Wednesday, October 26th starting at 7:00pm, with a rain date of October 27th. Onlookers or independent walkers need not register, however, those groups interested in being part of the parade must register before the parade. There will be cash prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd best-dressed float in the youth category, and then prizes awarded at-large to the best float for families/independents.
Schulylkill Mall Trick or Treat
Bring your kids to the mall-wide trick or treating held on October 26th at the Schulylkill Mall in Frackville. Kids can dress up and collect candy from participating stores starting at 6pm. Enjoy Halloween music performed by local artists, balloon twisting, fun inflatables, and even Halloween-themed photos for the family. Come early or stick around after for a free Halloween movie courtesy of Pearl theatres!
2016 Allentown Halloween Parade
Make your way over to Allentown, PA on Sunday October 16th for America’s oldest Halloween parade! The city of Allentown is proud to be recognized for their fun, family oriented parade and encourage everyone to participate in this community-wide event. There are cash prizes for the top 3 floats and top 3 marchers, plus lots of candy for everyone! The theme this year is GAME ON, so wear your best sports, board game, or video game themed costume and have some fun!
