Model year 2017 will bring significant changes to the Volkswagen line of vehicles, but perhaps the most exciting updates will be seen on the VW Beetle models. Volkswagen recently announced the arrival of the stylish #PinkBeetle and the Beetle Dune, which both feature unique styling features and color options. The Dune will be available as a convertible with the rollout of 2017 Volkswagen models; to celebrate all the updates, we’re comparing the Pink Beetle and the Beetle Dune.
How are the 2017 VW Pink Beetle and Dune Convertible similar?
Both the #PinkBeetle and the Beetle Dune share Volkswagen’s 1.8-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which makes 170 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. Inside, both the Pink Beetle and the Dune have Volkswagen’s MIB II infotainment system, which features VW Car-Net App-Connect, a USB port and a rearview camera. Additionally, both the Pink Beetle and the Beetle Dune are available in convertible body styles.
